This is another episode of Tales From the RV Park, life in the RV parks I’ve been camped at. Disclaimer: These stories are fictitious, happened in nightmares, are hearsay, and/or are what others recounted to me. I am part Irish, so there is likely a good deal of exaggeration. The names have been changed to protect the not-so-innocent. There is no relation to persons living, dead, or in jail, even if you think so. In other words, don’t bother trying to sue me, and I have no money.

It’s a shame you can’t buy common sense like you can buy deodorant.

Remember Tush? She’s a tad on the friendly side – if you’re a man. If you’re a woman, she’s jealous and insecure, and has been known to threaten women who she thinks “looked” at Hatin’ – not that anyone in their right mind would.

Tush and Hatin’ fight all the time, and that’s what makes the following story all the more curious…

Tush shot her car. Yes, with a gun. Tush and Hatin’ no longer live at the same park, but they still live in the general vicinity, on a large property far away from anyone else. Tush is friends with Butt-crack’s wife. BC’s wife is very chatty, often telling the same story over and over and over – in the same period of time. She needs a name in this story so let’s call her Chatty Cathy (CC). I know it’s not original, but that’s all I’ve got for now. I may give her a better name in the future.

This story is better if I include a recent prior event: Several weeks ago I woke up to see Tush’s car parked next door at BC and Chatty Cathy’s. This was early in the morning – and she is not an early morning kind of person. I suspected she hadn’t just arrived, but had stayed the night.

This was confirmed a short time later by CC who said, “Hatin’ and Tush (she used their real names) had a big fight last night. Tush said he pulled a gun on her!!”

This may or may not be true – CC is known to embellish stories. However, what happened a week or two later makes it seem at least somewhat legitimate:

Tush calls CC, asking where is a good place to get her car fixed. CC doesn’t know, but she turns around and asks one of the rangers for this info. Why asked what needed fixing on the car, she says, “Tush accidentally shot her car.”

Uh huh.

She claims she “was emptying the gun outside when a bullet ricocheted off a tree and into the bottom of the rear quarter panel.”

Uh huh.

We (the sane people at the park) don’t believe it. When you consider their regular fighting, and the aforementioned “pulled a gun on me” statement – even if it was made to CC, we suspect something far less innocent. We think Tush and Hatin’ were fighting as usual, but this time she was driving away when he shot at the back of her car – and hit it. The ricochet story just doesn’t fly.

This was  a few weeks ago and I had hoped to have more details, but this appears to be the end of the car shooting.
