Braless in Bandera, Texas, the Cowboy Capital of the World
I made it to Bandera, Texas, the Cowboy Capital of the World. And it was good for me.
Bandera is bangin’! It’s a small Texas Hill Country town full of real cowboys. (…) They’ve got something going on almost every night of the week.
And it’s going on bralessly. Apparently.
If you consider the number of bras hanging from the ceiling in this bar, virtually every woman is braless in Bandera, Texas. Is that how to rope a cowboy? I’m asking because I need to know.
Even with the giant 9″ stick bug that hung out on my door for a day, Bandera was good for me.
Hehehe, I said ‘giant 9-inch’ and ‘hung’ in the same sentence.
But I digress into the hormonal state of a seventeen year-old boy. Right. That’s nothing new.
It’s been too long since I was on the road and the wanderlust is calling. I needed to get away for a bit, needed a change of scenery, needed to shake out the giant cockroach and the mouse. Not sure how effective that was since I ended up with a giant stick bug on my door for an entire day while in Bandera.
Bandera, Texas has a lot going on for a town of around 1,200 people. The downtown area is full of bars with nightly music acts, cute boutiques and restaurants.
And there’s always a festival. Of course, they had a festival while I was there. Unfortunately, it was not the huge annual All Singles Dance Rally. I missed that one in April. Maybe next year?
A festival with classic cars, a chicken car, and camels. How awesome is that? And it’s a bra-free town. Good stuff, people, good stuff.
I want a Chicken Car. I’d have to watch out for tunnels though…
A chicken car would be awesome. But I want a camel. I could tie it behind my rig when I needed to move between locations. The ultimate gypsy caravan: RV, tow car, camel.
I rode my motorcycle in the Hill Country a couple of years ago and found the website http://www.hillcountrycruising.com to be a great source of info regarding where to go and what to see. Another small town that I think you will enjoy is Fredericksburg.
Great site, thanks! My posts are a bit behind my travels, but I hope to be back in Hill Country someday soon. It’s lovely there. I spent a little time in Kerrville, where my grandparents used to live. That post is coming soon. I didn’t get to Fredricksburg, but I’ve heard a lot of wonderful things about it.
As someone from the Itty Bitty Titty club, bra less is no problem.
I often blog naked. So yeah, no bra, no problem. As one reader commented on FB, it’s a good way to stay cool in the heat. So true!
Yep, it’s a chicken car alright.
Funny post. Thanks for sharing it – I enjoyed spending some time reading through it. Seems that you guys sure had fun there. Anyway, I’ll bookmark this blog to visit again from time to time.
