The Adventures, Travels & Tribulations of a Bonkers Blond Blogger. Traveling in an RV, with a cat. (Yes, I live on a chassis. It's possible I'm not well.)
That was the title of his post to the singles group list of 700 people!
Holy Shatner! Considering it’s been a while since anyone could claim that statement, I wasn’t sure what to think.
*blink*
His message to the list continued…
Ok, not like THAT. (Pity)
I am sitting in the airport in Albequerque, waiting to fly to South Dakota so I can “move” there. I came across the email with a blog link and have had a fabulous time reading old posts. She educated me on boondocking, took me to a brothel, gave me dating advice and explained why she is still single, although I honestly still don’t understand the last part. (By the way, I was married once. We had his and hers scissors. It helped a lot but not enough).
Anyway, if you haven’t followed her blog, you should. She is quite refreshing to read.
For the record, Kernut, even though I have used both fabulous and refreshing in this email, I swear I am not gay. I hope to meet you one day, although I am sure you will still choose singledom! And I agree, the 3 date rule is utterly stupid. Guys who believe it should be relegated to being brothel regulars.

And that is the nicest review I’ve ever received.
Ok, it might be the only review other than what my dear and wonderful friends and followers write on Facebook.
Promoting my website with a kind review is awesome. Yes, I can be bought.
I didn’t know him at all before this, but now I’d like to meet him.
And that, folks, is Lesson One in How To Ask A Gal Out.
This blog can’t be all about me. Well, not *all* the time.
I’d like to start by thanking a few readers who spent HOURS reading many pages of my blog in one week of August alone. You. warm. my. heart!
To Renner, SD: Thank you for perusing 9 pages and spending 30 minutes on my blog !

Finally, The Grand Prize (Sorry, there isn’t really a prize. Oh, don’t cry! Sheesh, I’ll make an award, ok?) for reading approximately 80 pages!, spending over 8 hours!! on my blog goes to the reader in Broken Arrow, OK! YeeHAA! Let’s just be clear – I love you!
And I love all of you. This award is thank all of you who take the time to read this blog. *muah*

Today, this post all about thanking those who help protect this country. It’s about giving back to your community by volunteering or donating, expressing gratitude, and connecting with your neighbors, friends, and family.
For the tenth anniversary of 9/11, it’s also about how much I’ve learned as a person and we’ve gained as a country.
Yahoo! News is accepting personal stories about how 9/11 has changed you. Anyone can submit one, as the next sentence will prove. Wonder of all wonders, they actually published mine. It’s on Yahoo! News at My September 11th Silver Linings.
The moral of my 9/11 tribute article is this:
Live your life to the fullest. Express love and gratitude to those around you. Volunteer. Thank firefighters, police officers, and soldiers for their service.
My new rig. We're at an RV park for a couple weeks before heading to BlogHer '11 in San Diego. (There are better pics but they're stuck in my camera, and the cord is still packed. Somewhere.
I got my RV!
My dream of traveling the country in an RV wouldn’t have been possible without help from my friends and family.
This includes you. Yes, you, reading this right now.
The following people helped sponsor this dream, either financially or supplied valuable information on purchasing an RV. Please visit their websites and businesses if you have a need for their services. While their financial support helped make my dream come true, their emotional support and willingness to help another follow her dream – no matter how crazy it may seem to a few others – means the world to me.
These people believe, and made me believe in magic….

Who knew the demise of a terrorist dictator would have such an effect on me?
Ok, so maybe the strong and protective men of our military, exercising their strengths, would obviously get me excited, but hey, it still took me by surprise.
While I don’t advocate war, I do respect and appreciate our soldiers. They do something few of us could, and we are safer because of it. I’m sure after the team is done celebrating, the dark realization will set in.
I’ve had the great pleasure of giving a motivational-type talk to a groups of Veterans recently. This was a troubled bunch that had seen and done things that they’ll never be able to forget. This group was in the process of getting help for their nightmares and desire to drown the images with drugs and alcohol. It brought me to tears knowing the sacrifices they had made to keep us and this country safe.
In honor of our military heroes, I made some t-shirts. Hug a Veteran, Hug a Soldier, and more…
Holy heart failure Batman! I joined an exercise Boot Camp.
The cat took me for a walk.
In case you don’t know, Boot Camps are a hardcore outdoor exercise program where they run you backwards up hills, and make you do backwards pushups and a ton of squats and other evil stuff. There’s also a strict diet plan that doesn’t include sweets. They’ve set me up to fail.
I don’t know why I signed up. Really. The only thing I can figure is I was under the influence of an overdose of cold/flu medicine at the time.
I believe being “under the influence of cold medicine” is grounds for temporary insanity. Not that I necessarily qualify for the “temporary” part.
This particular Booty Camp is ten weeks long, and it started this past weekend. (I’m calling it “Booty” camp because it’s all about getting my booty in shape.) Needless to say, my booty was bringing up the rear of the booty camp. Thank goodness I wasn’t the very last booty, like I was six months ago. This time there were about 200 people so my odds were better.
What a wonderful week full of the Blogging Love! Two great fellow bloggers have linked to my blog!*fans face*
AndHer Blogging Royal Highness, The Bloggess came to my site and commented on one of my posts! *swoon* I think I just got girl wood. (If you don’t know why I’m so turned on, well, you probably don’ t have a blog. Just imagine ROYALTY coming to your doorstep and leaving a note, k?)
Three Tabby Cats In Vienna kindly added me to the Carnival of The Cats! At my begging request they linked to my post about Checkers, my hairball of love, and her umm, first experience with yarn. (Not for the faint of heart.) There’s even a lovely picture of my baby! They also spread lots of kitty love around the interwebs. Check out their site for lots of cute kitty stories.
What a wonderful way to spend a Memorial Day: Riding on a Harley, to a National Monument, and a BBQ with family. All with the complete sense of freedom and safety.
This post is on the serious side, folks, but I feel the need to describe to you what I learned. Those things above would not be possible without the selfless dedication of our American Troops. My heart goes out to the families of the fallen, the men and women serving away from their families, and all the men and women past, present and future who’ve kept and continue to keep this country free.
Thank you all for your service. And thank you to the families who endure the separation so their loved ones may serve.”
